WSSF is bringing back the Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP) World Tour Finals at the World Skiing Invitational (WSI) - featuring Halfpipe, Slopestyle and Gibbons Big Air. For 2015, the Monster Energy Shred Show is also riding into town for another year of epic throw downs.  Due to a lack of snow in the Whistler Valley this spring, we are changing things up a little, but rest assured it will be just as epic!

The WSI/ AFP World Tour Finals kicks off with the Slopestyle on April 10th in the Blackcomb Terrain Park up Blackcomb Mountain. Slopestyle is unique in that it combines a mix of rails, features, and jumps so that no two runs have to be the same. This year, the line drops from above the gated entrance of the park and uses the entire left side with a combo of huge jumps and mind-blowing features. After the debut of Slopestyle at the Olympics in Sochi, the sport has gained mass popularity so expect crowds to be cheering on the world’s top athletes.

The Gibbons Big Air is going to be held in the Blackcomb Terrain Park this year, but all that means is more snow for a bigger booter.  On April 11th, head on up to the park to get a good view for the insane throw downs that accompany this competition.  Bonus: you won’t have to battle a crowd of party people to get a good view.  If the party atmosphere of the Big Air is what you love, later that night at Gibbons Plazapalooza, the Big Air will show on the big screen, Mat the Alien will be pumpin' out the beats and the crowds will be partying, as usual.  This years' winner of the men's Big Air is going to get their hands on a brand spankin' new 2015 Artic Cat Sled M 8000 153, worth around $16,000... expect to see these guys REALLY throwing down.

The Halfpipe is coming back to WSSF!! On Sunday, April 12th skiers will have a chance to compete in both the Halfpipe and the crowd favourite, rider judged Superhit contest.  Both of these events are taking place up at the Blackcomb Terrain Park and are followed by awards on the Mainstage at Skier’s Plaza.

The Monster Energy Shred Show starts with a bang on Friday, April 17th.  The men's and women's Boarderstyle competition is like boarder cross on steroids; 4 riders race down a course peppered with pretty sizable features all to win it all! The Boarderstyle is an open event; put your skills to the test and register until April 14th!

Next up is the Slopestyle on the 18th with some big money on the line, so you know people will be pulling out all their best stuff for this one.

On April 18th things are getting a shake up with a Monster Energy Motocross event in Whistler Village. Come check out the (crazy) action, concerts and party to close out the festival.
