We sought after the long and loyal creators of WSSF to see what kind of advice they could give for the new comers and indecisive and here is what they had to say:

Sleep – We hate being obvious but it’s true! WSSF is 10 FULL days. You’ll want to be up early for spring riding, then head down to catch the free concerts on the FIDO Mainstage or the action in the Ville. But it doesn’t end there. You’ll get fired up at Apres, maybe make some new friends and hit a hot tub somewhere, then carry the party through to one of the many evening events, only to be followed by free entry into a club to check out the Kokanee Freeride Club Series. Some say, “Sleep when you’re dead”, we say “Keep awake and LIVE!”

Buy Tickets Early- We hate to sound like a nagging parent, but we see this every year. Waiting until the last minute to grab tix isn’t good for anyone. We know for a fact that most WSSF events sell out, so why stress? In fact, be clever and buy several, then be the hero and sell them to your friend whose nickname is ‘Last Minute Larry’.

Tune Your Gear- The sun is shining and temps are rising, you’ll want to make the most of your last days on the mountain so make sure skis and boards are waxed and ready. It’s been a huge snow year for us so your gear could probably use some love.

Eat Healthy- Because why not? Eat your veggies now, keep in good health and save the fun food for the ‘fest. The WSSF diet consists of, but is not limited to: late night pizza, apres nachos, beer and free samples of Cliff Bars, Old Dutch chips and Devour Beef Jerky. Your guts will thank you later… when you go back to vegetables.

Make A Game Plan- It’s not a dash, it’s a marathon. There are more events than you can possibly do each day, so check out the schedule at www.wssf.com and then create your own itinerary.

Be Prepared- Scout’s rule always rings true at any multi-day extravaganza. Double check your accommodation and transport, hit the bank and grab some cash then budget it out, make an emergency plan with your buds, write your name on the inside of your gloves, hats, and anything else valuable.

Show Us Some Love- Make sure you post and hashtag your adventures at WSSF so we can see how much fun your having! Use #WSSF2017 for us to see your stuff. Ready? Aaaaaand GO!
